Increasing awareness for VfL Wolfsburg “net-zero by 2025”-goal

In fall 2020 VfL Wolfsburg became the first top-flight European football club to officially commit to the Unite Nation’s “Race To Zero” initiative. The club’s goal: reduce its CO2 emissions to net-zero by the end of 2025.

To create awareness for the club’s unrivaled dedication and commitment to fight climate change, we came up with the slogan “Grün. Mehr als unsere Farbe” (engl. “Green. More than a color”). A slogan not only referring to the official color of the club and its fans, but also to nature and hope for a more climate-friendly future.

The campaign consisted of video and image assets for digital, social and print media use. To underline its ambitions, VfL Wolfsburg even installed a huge countdown in the stands of their homebase, Volkswagen Arena.
